She received her diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from St. Francis School of Medical Technology in Wichita in 1943 and a B.A. in Bacteriology in 1947 from the University of Kansas. She was united in marriage to James B. Allen. He preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1982. Survivors: cousins, Larry Whitmer of Zenda, Janis Pakis of Marietta, Ga., Marlonna Pitts of Oklahoma City, Sonja Dyer of Charlotte, N.C. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
