Drummer Musician. Born in Liverpool, England, Fred and his brother Gerry were co-founders of the 1960's rock and roll group "Gerry and The Pacemakers". The band charted several top 10 songs in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Their hits included "Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying", "How Do You Do It?", and "You'll Never Walk Alone". The group also starred in the 1965 film "Ferry Cross the Mersey", which was titled from another one of their hit singles. After the Pacemakers disbanded in 1966, Freddie retired from the music scene and later opened a driving school in Formby, England.
