Actor. He began his career as a stage and Vaudeville actor. Later, he played in silent films with Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., William Desmond, Dustin Farnum, Marion Davies and the Gish sisters. Credited with at least 35 films, his first film appearance was was an uncredited role in the 1915 film, "The Birth of a Nation." This film was an adaption of the 1905 novel and play "The Clansman." In 1922 he appeared in a stronger role in the film, "In the Days of Buffalo Bill." During his career, he had mainly supporting roles. He played the role of a butler in his last film, "In the First Degree." He married Lottie Mossman De Vaull, an actress, which appeared with him on the stage.
