Architect. The son of a carpenter, he emigrated to the United States when he was 25 years old. Keeley designed over 600 buildings that include Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston, Saint Francis Xavier in New York City, the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist in Cleveland, Ohio, and Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Albany, New York, as well as many others. The locations of his churches range from Nova Scotia all the way south to Louisiana, and as far west as Iowa.
