Joined the Church through interest kindled by non-sense created in an anti-Mormon pamphlet.
After emigrating to Utah, he taught school, and was soon called upon to manage Brigham Young's merchandise store, then supervised the General Tithing Store, and later ZCMI.
After his calling to the Quorum of the Twelve, he served as European Mission President, sending the first young missionary to Denmark where the first people of that country entered into the gospel.
Elder Teasdale's headstone is not present but his family's stones are surrounding his grave.
