Royalty. She is recognized as French royalty. Born around 1320 as the eighth child of Louis I Duc de Bourbon and Marie d'Hainaut, she married John of Luxembourg in 1334 and was crowned Queen of Bohemia in May of 1337 in Saint Vitus Cathedral. Although their marriage was happy, she was not very popular with her people. After the coronation of her husband John, she and their son Wenzel were sent to Luxemburg and her husband followed a month later. After her husband's 1346 death, she and Wenzel lived with her French relatives. About 1347, she married a second time to Eudes Seigneur de Grancey. Her monument was made of black marble and was destroyed at the end of the 18th century during the French Revolution. Only her statue, which stood in this church, was saved and is in Saint Denis in the 21st century.
