Major League Baseball Player. Outfielder Walter "Wally" Rehg played seven seasons and 263 games in the big leagues, debuting on April 14, 1912 with the National League Pittsburgh Pirates. He went on to play in the American League (selected off waivers) for the Boston Red Sox (1913-15 seasons) before returning to the NL with the Boston Braves (1917-1918 seasons) and the Cincinatti Reds (1919 season), playing his final game on May 10, 1919. After his playing days were over, Rehg appeared in two baseball comedy films: as himself in "Fast Company" (Paramount, 1929, starring Evelyn Brent and Jack Oakie) and as an uncredited baseball player in "Alibi Ike" (Warner Bros., 1935, starring Olivia de Havilland and Joe E. Brown).
