World War II Fighter Ace. He was a fighter ace of the Polish Air Force in World War II. He commanded the 303 "Kosciuszko" Squadron from May 19, 1942, and scored 8 kills during the Battle of Britain (13 total).In January 1962 he organized the air force of Katanga, commanding it until December 1962. He died January 3, 1986, in France and was buried at Powazki Cemetery in Warsaw, Poland.
