Professional Football Player. One of Marquette's all-time football greats, he quarterbacked the Golden Avalanche to two consecutive undefeated seasons in 1922 and 1923. He played eight seasons in the National Football League with the Milwaukee Badgers, Chicago Cardinals, and Green Bay Packers. He was the quarterback on the Packer's NFL championship teams in 1929, 1930, and 1931. After his football playing days ended, he was an assistant football coach at Marquette for nine years before going into the insurance business. He was inducted into the Green Bay Packer Hall of Fame.
