Professional Football Player. After graduating from Lebanon High School (PA) in 1917, he enrolled in Albright College. But with America's involvement in the war, he enlisted in the Army and served overseas in France. After the war, he enrolled in Lebanon Valley College, graduating in 1922. He played six years in the National Football League as a blocking back with the Frankford Yellow Jackets from 1925 to 1930. He scored a game-winning touchdown in the title game when Frankford won the NFL championship in 1926. He got his nickname of "Two-Bits" because of his small size, being only 5'5" and 150 pounds.
