Musician, Music Producer. He was the founding member and songwriter for the alternative rock band, "Sparklehorse". They released 4 albums ("Vivadixiesubmarinetransmissionplot" 1995, "Good Morning Spider" 1999, "It's A Wonderful Life" 2001 and " Dreamt for Light Years in the Belly of a Mountain" 2006). While Sparklehorse was on tour with Radiohead in 1996, Linkous sustained injuries to his legs after collapsing in a hotel room. The injury left him in a wheelchair for 6 months and he never fully recovered. Mark was also a music producer, working with the singers Daniel Johnston and Nina Persson (a member of the Cardigans). Before taking his life, he had collaborated with musician/producer Danger Mouse and director David Lynch on "Dark Night of the Soul," an album and photo book. He was also involved with completing the new Sparklehorse album.
