Military Figure. Francois Beguiot was a French soldier, who rose through the ranks of the French Revolutionary Army, and in the last year of his life, he was made Earl of the Empire by Napoleon I. Joining the military and becoming a captain in 1772, he was promoted to Brigadier General of June 9, 1794, and retiring fully in 1803. He entered as a member of the Conservative Senate on August 14, 1807. He was honored with Legionnaire Year XII on November 26, 1803 and Commander of the Legion of Honor on June 13, 1804. He was highly respected. To honor him, the public had him buried in the Pantheon at his death.
