The remains of O. T. Thorson, former resident of Evansville, were buried at rites Thursday, the remains being shipped here from California.
Oscar Thorseth Knutson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole T. Knutson, was born near Evansville July 4, 1897, and passed away April 2, at Sacramento, Calif., at the age of 54 years. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He had made his home in Sacramento for 17 years, where he was employed for the Southern Pacific railroad. In 1950 he visited relatives and friends in Alexandria.
He is survived by one brother, Carl O. Knutson of Alexandria and one sister, Mrs. Art Alger of Osakis. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mrs. Henry Nelson.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 10, at the Anderson Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Martin T. Jenson officiated. Pallbearers were Leonard Rapp, Fred Plagman, Charley Kuehl, Otis Kuehl, Clifford Bakke and Walter Bakke. Interment was made in the Kinkead cemetery.
