GRANITE FALLS
Faye Turner Smith, 82, of Hickory, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at her daughter's residence. She was born July 16, 1930, in Anson County to the late George and Lula Hutchinson Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Smith.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Springs Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include her children, Sherry Warlick and husband, Terry and their son, Toby McCaskill and his wife, Martha, and their children, Emily and Katie McCaskill; Jackie Vinay and her son, Michael Vinay and his wife, Kellie, and their children, Landon and Ella Vinay; Jeanie Loria and her children, Jennifer Loria and her children, Kara Giles and Quentin Whisenant and Brian Loria and his wife, Angela; Randy Smith and his wife, Hattie and their children, Ashley and Erin Smith; and Jamie Burns and her husband, Tripp [son of Max Douglas Burns] and their children, Ben, Haley, and Anna Burns.
She was also survived by her sister, Betty Brigman. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Bass-Smith Granite Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to services from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Bass-Smith Granite is serving the family of Faye Turner Smith.
