Julia was the daughter of Mrs. J.L.D. Morrison--nee Adele Sarpy, a descendant of Madame Chouteau & August Chouteau, the founder of the city of St. Louis. Throughout the years following the death of her children, Mrs. Morrison regularly changed the toys with the season. In winter, she built shelters over the graves.
