Funeral service for Marion Becker, 75, of Aberdeen will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Marcia Sylvester will officiate.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 3-6 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Marion died October 12, 2013 at Bethesda Home of Aberdeen.

Marion Gehring, daughter of Enoch and Ida (Nitschke) Gehring was born April 18, 1938 at Ashley, ND. She grew up on the family farm and attended Ashley Public School.

She was united in marriage to Willis Becker on June 26, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley, ND. They moved to Aberdeen in 1955. Marion worked part-time at Burckhard Bakery and sold Avon for ten years. She was the bookkeeper at Farm Power for 22 ½ years. Marion was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Marion is survived by her daughter, Bea Gruenstein, brother, Wilmer Gehring and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Eloise (Edwin) Eszlinger and brother, Ivan (Eugenia) Gehring.

Carlsen Funeral Home and Crematory of Aberdeen has been entrusted with arrangements.
