Doris Franklin, age 86, of Providence, NC, passed away on February 22, 2017, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. Born on May 23, 1930, in Danville, she was the daughter of Albert Strader and Mae Shively.She was also predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Franklin and son, Woody Franklin.
She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Gatewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Tim Franklin; two daughters, Gayle Hemphill and Tammy Dunkley; six grandchildren.
Burial will be in Highland Burial Park.
