Mrs. Ann Munroe passed away in 1869, per testimony given by son in law Thomas Hunt, in her husband Thaddeus Munroe's will and probate papers. Thomas Hunt testified her funeral was in July 1869. Mrs. Munroe's son John W. Munroe testified the funeral was 1 July 1869.

After her death, one Charles Gore or Gove and his family provided board and care of Mr. Munroe in exchange for rent. This arrangement lasted, with the exception of a five week visit by Mr. Munroe to their son Warren T. Munroe, until a year prior to Mr. Thaddeus Munroe's own demise.
