Lois Steen Griffin, was born on October 20, 1955 in Monroe County, Mississippi, to the late Mr. Jesse and Eljeana Miller. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the North MS Medical Center located in Tupelo, MS. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and later joined Darden Chapel M.B. Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories: one son, Garrick Lushun Miller of Jackson, MS; one sister, Shirley Miller of Amory, MS; and one brother David R. McGee, Sr. of Pontotoc, MS. Lois is preceded in death by one brother: Ronnie Boggan. She also leaves to cherish two grandsons: Jesse Miller of Bruce, MS, and Decorious Marquel Garth of Atlanta, GA, one great grandchild, Lailah Ariyah Garth of Atlanta, GA, and a special friend Eddie Wayne Jenkins of Okolona, MS along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Home-going services will take place Tuesday, March 28, 2017 11:00 a.m. at Darden Chapel M.B. Church, Okolona, Mississippi, with Reverend Anthony Simmons, Pastor, presiding. Viewing will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m..
AMORY -- Lois Steen Griffin, 61, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Services will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11am at Darden Chapel M.B. Church in Okolona.
Visitation will be on today 11am - 1pm at Fields Funeral Okolona . Burial will follow at church cemetery.
