While this entry on Galer's list of burials shows the surname PEABODY, there is a slight chance the name is actually PEDDY. One other entry on her list errantly substituted the name PEABODY for PEDDY.

Buster Wright's "Burials and Deaths Reported in the Columbus (Georgia) Enquirer [Newspaper], 1832-1872" (1984), p. 364, shows: child of George W. PEABODY was buried 30 JAN 1867 (from version of the Sexton's quarterly report published in the newspaper on 17 APR 1867).

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: child of Geo. W. PEABODY died, having been born prematurely; buried 30 JAN 1867 (no section or lot number reported) - Sexton Robert Thomas SIMONS.

This grave is probably not identifiably marked.
