Died ABBE, DOCTOR TRUMAN. Suddenly, on Monday, May 2, 1955, at Emergency Hospital.

TRUMAN ABBE, MD., husband of Ethel W. B. Abbe; father of T. Waldo Abbe, Petrena Abbe Shea, Gilbert Abbe, Margaret Abbe Burt and William Whipple Abbe. Services for family only on Wednesday, May t, at 11 a. m. In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to the cancer fund.

862. TRUMAN⁹ ABBE, son of Cleveland⁸ and Frances Martha (Neal) Abbe, born November 1, 1873, in Washington, D. C; resides in that city. He was graduated from Harvard College, A.B. (magna cum laude), 1895; M.D., College of Physicians and Surgeons, New York City, 1899; began the practice of medicine in Washington in 1902; made a special study of the application of radium to medicine and won a silver medal for his exhibit thereof at the Jamestown Exposition. Instructor in Clinical Surgery at George Washington University Medical School; Associate Gynecologist at Columbia Hospital. He has published numerous articles in medical journals, and reference books on surgical topics.

Married in Providence, R. I., April 22, 1905, ETHEL W. BROWN, daughter of Reginald Channing and Maria Rhodes (Field) Brown. She was born in Providence, R. I., January 22, 1879.
