Amasa Abbey, according to records from members of his family, was born April 9, 1770, and died October 26, 1842, son of Joseph and Dilla (Pitcher) Abbey. It seems likely that the two records refer to the same person.
Married HULDAH PETTINGALE, born in Comington, Mass., September 26, 1776, died March 19, 1839. She was the daughter of Joseph Pettingale.
