Audrey M. Abbott (nee Cox) was born October 19, 1924 in St. Johns, New Brunswick, Canada.

She moved to the United States when she was a baby with her mother and father.

She was a U.S. citizen and the eldest child of David Francis (Frank) Cox and Lyla Cox Pracella, both deceased.

She attended the Elmsford schools in Elmsford and graduated in June 1942 from Alexander Hamilton High School in Elmsford.

She married Willam James Abbott (deceased) on August 11, 1943.

She is survived by two children, Jeffrey W. Abbott and his wife, Judy Abbott, of Cookeville, Tennessee and Patricia R. (Abbott) Seacord and her husband, James A. Seacord III, of Hendersonville, North Carolina; a brother, Frank Cox Collins, and his wife, Margaret, of LaGrangeville; and four grandchildren, Tricia L. (Seacord) Poveromo of Cortlandt Manor; James A. Seacord IV of Hendersonville, North Carolina; Mark W. Abbott of Houston, Texas; and Daniel Abbott of Cookeville; a great-grandson, Joseph Thomas Poveromo, of Cortlandt Manor; as well as a niece and several nephews.

Audrey, along with her husband, Bill, owned and operated Airport and Capitol Car Service of White Plains for 15-18 years, which was very successful.

Audrey was also an executive secretary and administrative assistant with several large corporations before going into business with her husband.

Funeral services will be held at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home, 491 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains. A viewing will take place on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. and the funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in the White Plains Rural Cemetery, North Broadway, White Plains.
