Anna was married to John Wesley Abbott in Vermont in 1837 at age 17. Together they raised five children; John Wesley, William H., Charles N., Ester Ann (Hattie) & Martha (Mattie)

They came to Garfield Co. Nebr. in 1878 where they lived in a sod house for a period of time.
