Services for Alice V."X" Abbott, 94, of Lubbock will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Clint Stephenson officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

She died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2001.

She was born July 10, 1907, in Sisterville, W.V. She moved to Lubbock in 1917 and graduated from Lubbock High School. She married Alton L. Abbott Sr. in June 1928 in Lubbock. He died Oct. 30, 1983.

She was a member of the Eastern Star, League of Women Voters, the Wally Byam Caravan Club and the Lubbock Dollers Club.

Survivors include two sons, Alton Leon Abbott Jr. of Lubbock and Bill Ed Abbott of Indianapolis; a daughter, Alice Lou Ann Brown of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
