ABBOTT, BLAKE "BEA" HAWKINS Blake "Bea" Hawkins Abbott, 74, of 736 4th St., Bristol, Tenn., died Thursday, May 24, 2001, in Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Lebanon, Va., and had lived in Bristol most of her life. She was a daughter of the late Edward and Fannie Davis Hawkins and was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Abbott; a son, Ronnie Allen Abbott; and a grandson, Timmy Abbott. She was a retired employee of Bristol Nursing Home and a member of the former Emmanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include four sons, Dale Abbott of Nashville, and Phil Abbott, Darryl Abbott and William Abbott, all of Bristol, Tenn.; five daughters, Linda Rhymer, Brenda Wampler and Karen Hostetter, all of Bristol, Tenn., Paula Roderfer of Marietta, Ga., and Sharon Humphreys of Bristol, Va.; one sister, Verna Dowell, of Bristol, Tenn.; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews including one special nephew, Arthur Brewster of Bristol, Tenn. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the graveside in High Point Cemetery with Dr. Howard Robinson officiating. Pallbearers will be Lilburn Rhymer Jr., Eric Rhymer, Michael Rhymer, Jimmy Abbott, Chris Abbott and Lee Crusenberry. Honorary pallbearers will be David Wampler, Chris Crusenberry and Stephen Whitaker. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Weaver Funeral Home.
