Agnes Marie (Hornick) Abe, 92, of Everett, PA, formerly of Flintstone, MD, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Pennknoll Village Nursing Home.
Born October 18, 1922 in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dellis Hornick and Icie (Myers) Hornick.
She was also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Eugene Franklin Abe; four brothers; five sisters; and five grandchildren.
Mrs. Abe was a homemaker and devoted to her family. Survivors include her eight children, Virginia Leah Lancaster, McCoole, MD, Ruby Mae Cottle, Everett, PA, Eugene Franklin Abe, Jr., Flintstone, MD, James Dale Abe, Mechanicsville, MD, Michael Wayne Abe, Cumberland, MD, Catherine Marie Bradley, Lucedale, MS, Barbara Jean Jones, Cumberland, MD, and John Christopher Abe, Flintstone, MD; one sister, Doloris Jean Tigert, Dangerfield, TX; 12 grandchildren, and 21 great, grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at Glendale Cemetery on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 10:30 AM, with Pastor Walter Lancaster, officiating. Condolences to the family may be posted after Mrs. Abe's obituary at www.upchurchfh.com
