Mrs. Agnes Abe of Naperville, Ill., a former city resident, died Saturday.

Born in the Town of Byron, she was the daughter of Henry and Julia Grantman Sr. She was married to the Rev. William J. Abe on June 14, 1916, at Lomira.

The Rev. Abe had parishes in Door County, Greenville Center, Batavia, Waumandee, Reeseville and Monticello. When he retired in 1948, they made Fond du Lac their home and were members of Salem United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Abe moved to Naperville in 1962 and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Naperville.

Surviving are one son, William J. Abe Jr., of Naperville, Ill.; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ray Lapien of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. George Uebele of Hartford and Mrs. William Scheer of Fond du Lac; and three brothers, Henry Grantman of Fond du Lac, John Grandman of Red Wing, Minn., and Harold Grantman of Antigo.

She was preceded in death by her husband on March 26, 1961.

Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. today at the Candlish Chapel with committal services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Ebenezer Cemetery in the Town of Lomira.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.
