He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and had retired from the Washington Gas Company after 34 years of service.
Husband of Margaret Elizabeth Abe; father of Rev. John Adam Abe, Virginia Beach, VA, Joseph Michael Abe, Luthersville, MD and Mary Margaret Abe, Mt. Rainier, MD; brother of Ronald G. Abe, Baltimore, MD and Willard G. Abe, Annapolis, MD.
He was predeceased by a son, Douglas Eugene Abe.
Services were held at the Royston Funeral Home, Middleburg, VA on Friday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial offered on Saturday, October 29 at the St. Stephen Catholic Church, Middleburg, VA. Interment followed at Fairfax Memorial Park.
