Alan Edward Abel

He left today at the age 90. He leaves the special and beloved wife of 66 years, his son, Granddaughter, Great grandchildren and many friends.
His son Steven left at far too young an age.

Born in New Jersey, graduated from Burlingame High School, an interesting but not life threatening 4 years in the navy, an honor graduate from Stanford and some 25 years as Director of Marketing at Kaiser Permanente, a job he greatly enjoyed and did with some competence.

He was well read and knew about many things that had little economic vale. He had a sense of humor that sometimes caused both amusement and bewilderment. He was politically a liberal and philosophically a humanist. He enjoyed writing. He believed that one should write their own obituary to avoid either over or understatement of fact.

He was an optimist by nature and said one should always look ahead but yet he left no forwarding address.

Private Interment at Golden Gate National Cemetery.
