ANNE S. ABEL 94, was born June 2, 1910, in New York City and peacefully passed away on April, 3, 2005, in Escondido, California. After moving to California from New York with her husband, Dr. Martin Abel, in 1948, Anne lived in Kensington and Castro Valley until moving to Escondio 2 years ago to be near her family. Anne was a very special woman who loved people, reading, animals, tennis, and the arts. And, she had a career as a librarian in both Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. She witnessed the dramatic changes of the 20th century, and participated in life to the fullest. Survivors include her son, Eric, her daughter-in-law, Linda, and her grandson, Ryan. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, 510-471-3363.
