Story in the family is told of a Rueben Freeman who married Mary Rutherford in Kentucky and they owned a "Coal Mine".
Several of the family members went to check it out, in the late 60's or early 70's, these were named as Henry Julian Freeman, Sr. and Annie Pittman Abernathy. They were told to drop the matter and return home, which they did. So guess no one will know the whole or true story of what happened with the "Coal Mine". Wouldn't have mattered at any rate if Rueben and Mary Freeman owned it, it was theirs to do what ever they pleased with it?.
