Born in the family home of Arthur and May Ablett, at the Fairview Mines near the little town of Oliver, British Columbia. The third of what would eventually be seven children.
Eighty years later, on December 28, 2015, Ab left this world, peacefully in his sleep, in the family home near the not-so-little town of Kamloops, British Columbia.
He was predeceased by his older sister, Vivian Harder.
Ab lived in many towns when he was young: the list includes Oliver, Kelowna, Vernon, Salmo, Ocean Falls and Vancouver where he graduated from High School, then went to work for Ford, Bacon and Davis as a surveyor in Vernon.
