COTTAGE GROVE - Andrew S. Abplanalp, age 57, passed away passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on Nov. 9, 1955, in Arena, to Alex and Catherine (Teasdale) Abplanalp. Andrew graduated from LaFollette High School in 1974. He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at UW-Whitewater and then had a long career in the insurance industry. Andrew married Susan Basgall on May 27, 1978, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Andrew was a kind, loving husband, father, and grandfather who always put others before himself.
Andrew is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue; sons, Aaron (Billie) and Nick (Sarah); daughter, Lauren; grandchildren, Mason and Callan; brother, A.J. (Deb); and sister, Susan Abplanalp.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 12 noon, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, with Father Bart Timmerman presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
