Mr. Abplanalp was born in Innerkirchen, Switzerland, May 3, 1885, son of Andrew and Katrina Miller Abplanalp. He came to this country in 1904 and settled in Green County. In 1908 he married Frieda Stocker in Monroe.

Mr. Abplanalp was elected to the board of directors of the Bank of Juda in March, 1920. In 1931 he became president of the Citizen's bank of Monroe.

Surviving are the widow, two brothers, Alex, Monroe, and Arnold, Switzerland.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery
