Alice Achard was a daughter of the late R.K. Kincaid and Roda Kincaid. She took her nurse's training at the state hospital (Broughton) and completed her training in Baltimore. According to her obituary, she met her husband, Dr. Lucien Achard, while working as a nurse at Sea View Hospital in New York City.
She died after a three-month-long illness.
