From the 3/15/1906 Willshire, Ohio, Herald: "Addie Davis Acheson, youngest daughter of Thomas and Martha Davis, was born October 18, 1879, and departed this life March 10, 1906, aged 26 years, 4 months and 22 days. She was married to Ellsworth Acheson, June 16, 1897. To this happy union were born two sons and one daughter, all of whom survive to mourn their loss. Mrs. Acheson was the youngest of eight children. Her mother and two sisters, dying when she was quite young, left her to the care of father, sister and four brothers. She was born and reared in Van Wert and vicinity, where she had a large circle of friends. About a year and a half ago the family moved to Willshire. Here she found many new and dear friends, who believe their loss is her gain, and humbly submit to the Divine will. During her prolonged illness she was always very patient and looked on the bright side of everything. She gave her heart to God and expressed her willingness to join the beloved gone before. She united with the Baptist church. She was a member of the W.R.C., which organization feel they have lost one of their most zealous members. She fell asleep in this world only to immediately awaken in heaven, her everlasting home. She was preceded to that mysterious realm by mother, three brothers and three sisters, and leaves on the shore of time husband, three children, father, brother, step-mother, half sister and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral was held Monday, a brief prayer service being held at the residence in this village at nine a.m., after which the remains were conveyed to Van Wert, where the funeral service was held in the Baptist church, preached by Rev. Mr. West, pastor of the Baptist church at Wren, assisted by Rev. Lotus Aspy, pastor of the Van Wert church. The sermon was based upon the scripture as found in verses 1 and 2, John XIV. Interment was made in Woodland cemetery under the direction of Funeral Director Buchanan, the remains being attended by Mrs. Laverna Weimer, Belle Piercy, Anna Sims, Dona Sims, Sadie Rhoads, and Mrs. Florence Stetler and pall-bearers, all fellow member of Willshire W.R.C. The readers of The Herald, generally, are familiar with the long illness of Mrs. Acheson, and in their bereft condition the husband and children, parents, brother and other relatives have the genuine sympathy of a large acquaintance."

Died from consumption.
