Mrs. Annabell Malora Howser, age 87 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at Heisinger Bluffs. Annabell was born on January 23, 1928, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Erwin E. and Desda G. Russell Achilles. She was married on October 25, 1943, in Linn, Mo. to Jack W. Howser, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2012.

A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Annabell was a 1946 graduate of Jefferson City High School. She started her professional career working at Sally Ann's Clothing Store in downtown Jefferson City and later became part-owner of Crystal Cleaners. She retired from working in the accounting department with the Missouri Department of Agriculture.

Annabell was a member of Central United Church of Christ and was active in the Eleventh Circle and Martha's Circle at the church.

She enjoyed quilting, reading, and collecting crystal and art glass. She loved spending time at the Lake of the Ozarks with family and friends and cherished time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include: two sons, William E. Howser and his wife Elizabeth of Jefferson City, Mo. and Russell A. Howser and his wife Marlene of Fulton, Mo.; one daughter, Maribeth M. Muhonen of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one sister, Evelyn Hentges of Jefferson City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, Rachel Foster, Jessie Goff, Abigail Lage, Nicholas Howser, Eric Howser, Scott Howser, Adam Howser, Roberta McLaren, Leroy McLaren, Mason Muhonen and Marisa Muhonen; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Coletta Eichenberger officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Central United Church of Christ or the Alzheimer's Association. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
