ACKERMAN, Harvey Passed away at Cedar Sinai Medical Center Saturday, January 24, 2009, from complications of leukemia. Harvey was born in Detroit, Michigan, April 14, 1920. He is survived by many friends and his colleagues in the interior decorating industry. Harvey was a former president of The American Institute of Decorators. He was an extraordinary human being and showed kindness and generosity to everyone with whom he came in contact. He continually made people laugh with his fun-loving jokes for which he was quite well known. A memorial service is pending.
