Funeral services for Audna Crumpler Acklen, 70, of 3007 Elm Ave. will be today in the Wellman's Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. L. Wilson Warren Jr., pastor of Dunlap Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Forest Park West Cemetery.
A native of Magnolia, Ark., Mrs. Acklen had been a resident of Shreveport for 27 years and was a housewife. She died Saturday in Doctors Hospital after a short illness.
Survivors include her mother, Nila Crumpler of Heber Springs Ark.; one daughter, Audna Jean Young of Shreveport; three brothers, Alvis Crumpler of McGee Ark., H.B. Crumpler of Winnfield, and Billy Ray Crumpler of Heber Springs; four sisters, Marthilde Nunnally of Whitten Ark., Inez Overtruf of Bakerfield Calif., Elaine Screeton of Hazen Ark., and Dot Smith of Mobile Ala.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Durwood Walker, Gary Acklen, Cecil Rodgers, Larry Dale Smith, Newt Dodd, and Alvin Acklen.
