Funeral services for Mr. David Michael Acklen, 56, of Russellville, AR formally of Archibald, LA will be held 2:00PM, Sunday, May 21, 2006 at Little Creek United Methodist Church in Archibald, LA with Rev. Howard Childs officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Creek Cemetery, Archibald, LA under the direction of Brown-Holley Funeral Home in Rayville, LA.
David Michael Acklen was born on October 10, 1949 in Archibald, LA to the late W.L. and Mary Acklen and passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2006 in Little Rock, AR.
Mike was very loving and faithful to his family and friends. All who really knew him loved him, and he will be greatly missed.
Mike was a lifetime member of Little Creek United Methodist Church in Archibald, LA.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, W.L. Acklen, Jr., Felix W. Acklen and Shepard Acklen.
Survivors include his sisters; Mary Lyn Holloway and husband, Carl of Archibald, LA and Bettie Ann Brunson and husband, Ted of Dover, AR; and his many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brett Brunson, Ty Brunson, Dan Brunson, Perry Brunson, Donald Acklen and Jim Archibald.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Archibald and Steve Archibald.
