Mrs. Andrew (Alma M. Penny) Acklin, 72, of Decatur died Saturday (May 12, 1990) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: Prairie Avenue Christian Church.
Mrs. Acklin was born in Minnesota, daughter of Gerald and Sarah Belle Seawright Penny. She was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church and was an Avon representative for 30 years. She married Andrew "Andy" Acklin on April 23, 1934 in West Plains, Mo. He died on April 21, 1985.
Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Fred (Krisandra) Stroyeck of Decatur; sister, Mrs. Robert (Nina) Wills of Las Cruces, N.M.; brothers, Everette, Troy and William Penny, all of Decatur; Stanley Penny of Gulfport, Miss.; Paul Beckley of Knoxville, Tenn.
Her parents, husband and one brother preceded her in death.
