A native Houstonian, she was the daughter of Paul N. "Red" and Kemmie Adair. In her professional life, Robyn was President of Robyn Adair Enterprises, an advertising and public relations consulting firm, and also the Executive Vice President of Adair Enterprises, Inc., a consulting company formerly lead by her famous oilwell firefighting father, the late Red Adair. Robyn's position at Robyn Adair Enterprises provided an excellent outlet for her creative nature. One of her notable projects was managing and co-editing "An American Hero, The Red Adair Story," an authorized autobiography of the life and work of Red Adair. Robyn was proud of her opportunity to play in a small role in the movie "Hellfighters," a fictitious film based on the oilwell firefighting profession starring John Wayne. Her position at Adair Enterprises, Inc. kept her active and allowed her to share in her father's professional pursuits. At the time of her passing, she was managing the administrative and promotional portion of the business, including the retailing of Red Adair memorabilia to the public. Robyn was attracted to the advertising and public relations profession through her modeling for various department stores and magazine ads, as well as her performing general assignment voice-overs and radio advertisements. Her family and friends recalled her appearances on local television; including Good Morning Houston, press releases for the Red Adair/Jackie Sherrell Celebrity Golf Classic benefiting Easter Seals, her being spokesperson for the Leukemia Society, and her guest appearance on Nashville Now. Following an Adair Family tradition, Robyn's support of our community was evident through her involvement with several charitable and supportive organizations. Robyn was on the Board of Directors at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Board of Directors of the One Hundred Club of Houston, and on the Executive Committee and Board at the University Children's Hospital. In her personal life, Robyn, along with her daughter, Sunny, and mother, Kemmie, loved to spend their time showing, raising, and breeding championship cutting horses under the Adair Family name. To further the formal education of young cowboys and cowgirls, she and her father, Red, sponsored the NCHA Youth Scholarship Cuttings from 1993 through 1995. Robyn always enjoyed spending her leisure time at the family's Red Acres Ranch in Bellville, Texas. Preceded in death by her father, Paul N. "Red" Adair, Robyn is survived by her children, Paul Wayne Hinson of Austin, and Sunny Leigh Abel of Houston; and granddaughter, Emma Morgan Abel. She is also survived by her mother, Kemmie Adair of Bellville; and brother, James Paul Adair of Bacliff.
