Joan and her husband Billy owned and operated service stations in the Houston area for many years. In her free time she enjoyed working with her horses, going to garage sales and flea markets, collecting antiques, bird watching, owning her antique store, taking care of animals and most of all spending time with her family and friends. Joan was a very sweet, helpful, loving and caring, wife, mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Kathryn V. Wallace; sisters, Kathryn Dickerson, Elizabeth Thomas and Sarah Ates.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Billy W. Adair; son, Dr. Richard W. Adair and wife Cindy Adair; daughter, Cynthia Lambe and her husband Dr. Gregg Lambe; grandchildren, Blake Adair, Jordan Adair, Chris Lambe, Grant Lambe, Cody Lambe, Madison Lambe and many other relatives and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 5pm-8pm at Sterling-White. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 1pm at the Crosby United Methodist Church 1334 Runneburg Rd. Crosby, Texas 77532.
