Anderson Ellsworth Adair obituary New Loraine Cemetery.

Funeral services for Anderson Ellsworth Adair were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 in the Tanner Funeral home here and at 2 in the Christian church. The Rev. William Bailey officiated and Mrs. Mildred Halsey was soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Edith Dulaney. Pallbearers, all nephews, were Earl Adair, Orin Adair, Alvin Adair, Lewis Adair, Jesse Adair and Charles Anderson.
Mr. Adair, 84, died at Quincy on Tuesday. He was born in Honey Creek Township June 30, 1863, a son of John and Enceba Trout Adair. On Jan. 25, 1885, he was married to Mary Eleanor Beer. Mr. Adair taught school in Adams county and later was engaged in farming until 1910, when he retired and moved to Loraine. He was a member of the Loraine Christian church. Surviving are the widow; four sons, Roy K. Adair of Oakland, Cal., Samuel L. Adair of Kansas City, Kan., Floyd E. Adair of Loraine, and Dewey F. Adair of Ottumwa, Ia,; a brother, John M. Adair of Quincy; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
