According to his Civil War Pension card, his widow was Ada G. Harrison Adams of Washington, DC. On 4 Jun 1871, he married Ada Gertrude Berryman in Cincinnati. In the 1880 Census, he is living in Washington, DC. He is 40 years old and a clerk in the US government. His wife Ada is 27, Briston is 4, Constance is 2, and Edith 6/12 years old. Ada is listed in an 1899 DC directory. In the 1900 Census, G. Ada Adams is 48, born in OH in July of 1851, is a a government clerk. She has had 6 kids, 5 of whom are living. The listed children are: Constance 22, Edith 20 Wallace 18, Ada 15. In the 1920 Census, she is 67 years old and living in Los Angeles with her son-in-law George Bellis 37, Ila A. 35, and George A. 5.
