Althea E. Adams (90) of Toppenish died in Toppenish on January 5, 2010. She was born in Sugar City, ID on July 11, 1919 to Melvin and Lillian Newby.
She was raised and educated in Canada and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Spokane. Althea worked as an elementery teacher for the Toppenish School district for many years retiring in 1998. She was a pilot and was very involved with aerospace and NASA.
Interment will be today in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Ore. A memorial service will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Colonial Funeral Home.
