Inscription

In memory of
Capt.
Aaron Adams
Who died
March 14, 1819
In the 81st year
Of his age
Have my appointed circuits run,
The battles' o'er, the conquest won,
To think how fast the moments fly,
To think of heaven, prepare to die.
