She was born on Nov. 10, 1924 in Mecklenburg County, to the late Hamilton Lawson and Rosa Velt Overby Davis.

Christine attended Clarksville High School and worked for the American Tobacco Company and Russell Stover Candy Company.

Christine was the widow of Rommie Lee "Bee" Adcock.

She is survived by daughter Lynda and Jim Weaver of Raleigh, N.C., grandson Barton "Bart" Wester and his wife, Michelle of Rolesville, N.C., and great-grandchildren Samantha and Brad Wester, her brother Paul Davis and his wife, Libby of Marion. She is also survived by, her brother-in-law E. C. Adcock and his wife Gail of Richmond.


A member of Nelson Baptist Church, a funeral service was held there on Monday, Dec. 12. Presiding at the service will be Rev. Don Wilson and Rev. Jim McAlister.

Interment will followed in the church cemetery.
