Immigrated from his in home in Burnt Ground, Long Island, Bahamas. Worked as a farm laborer and fruit picker.Always had an eye for the ladies but was a gentleman. Loved fishing and sail boating. Used to participate in sailboat races on the Indian River, usually winning!!! But he missed his home and moved back there. He raised three families. The first in Miami, became widowed; a second in Fort Pierce, Fl and another after he moved back to the island.
He was a tall slim built man.
On Long island the sun is burning on the skin there in the summer. His advice to me was "Girl keep your hat on "!!!
The last time I saw him,we were flying back to the states from Long Island. The pilot was flying low over the water so we could have one last view. Uncle Albert had gone out in his sail boat and was waving good bye to us in the plane. His best present to us were three sea shells from his lagoon
- one for each of our children.
